Slovenia in half a day
A small Swiss, a beautiful country with lots of mountains and caves. It was our one-night stand on the road to Italy, but we fell in love.
- Ljubljana
So similar languages we have… so different mindset and culture. Ljubljana is small and extremely beautiful! You may have a short walk in the city centre and climb to Ljubljanski Grad. There is a great panorama to catch. On the way back, go through the pedestrian zone, have a coffee and check out the market at the river.
- Postojna
After leaving the city, we visited the Postojna Cave: starting with a small in-cave train trip, going through several quite old cave halls (>12 000 years old ones) and ending with seeing a underground river; this visit was very impressive. A must-do when in Slovenia indeed.

When you are getting Canadian citizenship, there is a very nice ceremony, created to make you feel part of that community.
At some time of the judge’s speech, the subject of the election comes to focus. They say:
“Let’s say that you have your own car and house. You manage your own household and make the decisions about it every day. Now, imagine that you give your car’s and home’s keys to your neighbors and let them decide everything for you - this is what you do every time you don’t go voting at the election.”
Like it? Guess what… if you become a mayor of bar FlipFlop on foursquare, you will get one of these ;-) Beware, don’t cheat, we’ll catch you! :P

my top of the shows
It’s been a while, it’s been many TV shows. My first touch to the TV series I really like, was more than 10 years ago with the super-new for my Bulgarian socialistic-born heart: Ally McBeal. When this smart and different TV show appeared, I knew it started a new wave. And I was right.
Many things changed ever since. My top 3-4-5 changed many times, but here is what I feel today: my TV series top 6:

One year ago, I wouldn’t believe if someone could have told me I would start watching this show. Not to mention adding it on a list like this…
Yet, it is one of my favorites… Why? Because, it is getting better! Every season is better than the previous one; the characters change; the scriptwriters are not afraid of killing main characters… It is supernatural and there are ancient creatures, who always bring some mystics and fresh breeze to the plot! And it is damn bloody in any way you can imagine. ;-)

I have never seen fantasy and brutalism to be mixed the way the scriptwriters do it here! Fantastic work!

I don’t know yet. I hope I will before I get old.. Now I know how all of the old ladies feel about “The bold and the beautiful”… =/
I have never loved Friends, but I love HIMYM. It shows that you don’t need stupid jokes to make your audience laugh. And it’s not boring. I don’t remember even a single weak TV serie of these!

My new favorite one! One of those shows which don’t make a fool of you. Smart humor, intense situations all the time; a lot of weed around… And the characters are lawyers! Super sexy show indeed!

I saw it when I was 20. Yes, it was many years ago and I am not sure if I would feel the same way about that show now. But it was so great for me, that I couldn’t accept the way it ended.
It was one of the few american TV shows that didn’t underrate their audience. It was simply smart; great plot and a lot of chemistry around.

It is simply brilliant! A rare and unique combination of humor, really smart plot and nice characters. I couldn’t think of any other TV series that are smart, intensive and so positive at the same time.
